Briley loves acting, and she is so good at it. We found a program that offers classes for teaching kids the aspects of theatre.
Briley has been participating in these classes for a year now. This is the only thing we have signed her up for that she has ever asked to do again. At the end of the class session, the class has a little showcase to show off what they have learned.
She has been too young to audition for the productions that CYT offers until this year. She wants so badly to audition for Tom Sawyer, the spring production. But we looked into it and these productions come with a very serious time commitment that we are not ready to enslave our nearly 8 year old to! I guess we stick to the classes for now.
But she is taking a musical theatre class this spring where she will learn the fundamentals of musical theatre and it is set to the songs of Peter Pan. She is SOOO excited!
